“I have just finished my garden aviary (after about 2 years), I will try and post some pictures. I used stainless steel Clear Mesh firstname.lastname@example.org which I sprayed with a matt black paint.
I am extremely pleased with the effect. It is invisible, even when viewed from a metre away. The birds can see it so they don’t fly into it but if they do fly against it is soft and so it cushions them. The holes are about 4mm so no mice or sparrow hawk claws could get through. It proved to be very easy to use, I (well my wife!) stapled it to get a taut effect. It was more like using fabric than mesh. The only downside is that due to the small mesh size I cannot feed mealworms through it.”
